Infinity Ward sucks

CoD4 consists of small maps that lead to crazy shoot-outs where the guy who hammers on the trigger first wins. That's all there is to it. Run around the map shooting at anything that looks even remotely human, extremely casual fare that gets old incredibly quick. Why the hell is it so popular?

The only people I can see enjoying CoD4 are lazy people who want to put in little effort and yet at the same time achieve victory. In that case CoD4 is exactly the game for them. For anyone wanting some level of substance it's horrible though, CoD4 should've been a small fad that the casuals dug 'till they bored of it and went back to Wii Sports. Yet, it remains incredibly popular. It really doesn't make sense. Do people seriously want video games where all they do is turn their brain off and hold down the right trigger?

I don't get it. It sucks because it means that Activision's pushing its engine on all its other shooters too. Treyarch's CoD: WaW could've been a follow-up to CoD3 but instead it was just CoD4.5. Blah
